I was working with a horse the other day on healing some past trauma imprints.   They were showing me that they were upset and angry about things that were done to them in the past and the unconsciousness of humans in relation to them.

When we have surrendered to divine will moving through us then a response to another’s trauma or pain (and of course our own) comes from divine intelligence rather than from the personal will.  If we respond from what someone told us was what we ‘should’ do with horses or from a lower state of consciousness that wants something in return, we miss so much.

In this instance the response that showed itself was a gesture from me to him of compassion, empathy, understanding and offering him a sacred type of full trust.

The result was a huge nervous system let down and release from him.  Lots of yawning and moving his jaw, trying to release years of built-up tension, from emotional pain as well as types of physical restraint of his jaw in the past.

If I was following a ‘formula’ then what would have been applied in that moment where he expressed anger and frustration would have been something very different.

With a different horse, in a different situation the response from me may have been very different.  It may have been a healthy boundary that needed to be expressed due to past confusion around personal space.

As the spiritual shifts in me have become more and more embodied this right action becomes more of the normal way of being.  I of course have times of conditioned responses emerging, past unconscious imprints that are still clearing rear their head, clouding my vision and I make mistakes as we all do.

We can gain knowledge in any field but how that knowledge is applied in “right action” in the moment can be left up to a wisdom much deeper than the mind and mostly certainly clearer and deeper than any self-serving personal agenda.

This deep wisdom ‘uses’ our minds, bodies and even emotions to express compassion, clarity and what I would describe as an infinite commitment or loyalty in the world.

This is the joy of teaching for me, not just to teach people the knowledge they need (in this case horsemanship) but to support them in removing all the roadblocks, conditioning, stuck repeating patterns and confusion blocking them from their own divine intelligence.

With Deep Devotion
